The cost for the visit will vary depending on the size of your pet, the distance driven, and other factors such as the need for additional time or medications. The in-home euthanasia service includes the veterinary visit to your home, a brief assessment, and the sedation & euthanasia procedure. Additionally, based on your aftercare selection, the cost may include, cremation or aquamation, transportation, and keepsakes.

Will you assess my pet upon arrival?

It’s completely natural to question if the time is right. If you need additional clarity, you may find our Quality-of-Life Tool helpful, or you may wish to pursue a Quality-of-life assessment with one of our trusted veterinarians for further guidance.Should you schedule a euthanasia with us, our veterinarian will compassionately assess your companion upon arrival. If they feel euthanasia is not the most appropriate path at this time, they will discuss this openly and honestly with you.

How long does the appointment take?

We understand this is a tender time. Your veterinarian will be present in your home for 20-60 minutes, allowing ample space and time for you to say goodbye and be with your companion in a way that feels most comfortable and peaceful.

Will the vet take my pet with them after the appointment?

During your appointment, the vet will confirm your aftercare selection. If you opt for cremation or aquamation services, the vet will handle your pet’s transportation from your home and will care for your pet’s body until they are respectfully transferred to the appointed aftercare provider.

Are you available for emergencies?

Peaceful Passing’s priority is to accommodate our patients and we can usually have a veterinarian available for same day emergency visits. However, Peaceful Passing is not a 24 hour emergency service. If this is a serious emergency, we recommend contacting your regular veterinary clinic or the nearest veterinary emergency facility.

It’s been a month and a half now since having to contact Peaceful Passing Home Mobility Services to help my beloved cat, Sasha over the rainbow bridge. She was exactly two months shy before her 17th birthday. It was an unfortunate but very sudden decision as my cat was declining rapidly and I could not bare to see her suffer any longer. Since it was already evening hours, I contacted Peaceful Passing with uncertainty as I’ve never done this sort of thing before and wasn’t sure it was even legit, but when they responded back quickly with very detailed information about their services, costs, etc and so on, gave me that realization that it was legit. It was fairly prompt than I expected and even though there was a cost for after hours services , it was worth it more so as Dr. Brooke had to adjust her time for an on call appointment to come to my place. The staff are very compassionate and understanding. I recommend Peaceful Passing to anyone having to make that sudden decision as I did.  I cannot say whether it’s pricey or not as it’s very close to the same price as going to an in person veterinarian. I was and am satisfied with their services 100%. It’s taken me a while to do this review … it’s a bit strange to review one of the worst days of my life but I know looking at the reviews helped me when the decision had to be made. I lost my soul cat and it was a devastating experience but Dr. Graham was patient, compassionate and empathetic. She gave us the time and space to say to goodbye and showed us nothing but kindness. She communicated with me before her arrival and helped reduce as much of the anxiety surrounding what was to come as possible. She let me hold him, and reassured me it was the right decision to make. Afterward, communication around his remains was also very good and we had his ashes within a week.
