The life you’ve built with your dog in Oakville is full of memories—walks through lakeside parks, cozy evenings at home. When their health declines, the decision to consider dog euthanasia is a difficult but loving choice to end their pain. It is a final act of devotion to a loyal friend.

Our service for putting a dog to sleep at home allows your companion to be in their favourite bed, surrounded by familiar sights and smells, with their family close by. It avoids the anxiety of a clinic visit and allows their last moments to be calm and full of love, a farewell worthy of the joy they’ve brought you.

Cats cherish the comfort and safety of their own territory. For a cat who is unwell, the journey to a vet’s office can be deeply stressful. Our cat euthanasia service in Oakville is designed to respect your cat’s need for a peaceful, familiar environment.

We conduct our visit with quiet sensitivity, allowing your cat to rest on your lap, in a warm sunbeam, or wherever they feel most content. This gentle approach ensures their final moments are filled with warmth and love, not fear and anxiety. It is a dignified farewell that honours the special place your cat holds in your family.

Sometimes, our pets pass away suddenly and without warning. Peaceful Passing can help ease this difficult time by arranging aftercare and transporting your pet to our cremation or aquamation partner.  For Assistance, please fill out this form.

Choosing your aftercare is a personal choice. We offer cremation and aquamation as well as memorial items such as paw prints, urns, jewelry, and other keepsakes.

Our gentle Process: What to expect

A peaceful passing starts with a calm and supportive environment. When our veterinarian arrives at your Oakville home, she will walk you through the process and answer any questions you have. There is never a rush. We give you all the time you need to say goodbye in a way that feels right for you and your family.

The procedure involves two gentle injections. The first is a sedative to help your pet fall into a deep, peaceful sleep, so they won’t feel any discomfort. Once your pet is fully relaxed and you are ready, the final medication is given, which allows them to pass away gracefully. It is a humane and gentle process, designed to feel like quietly drifting off to sleep.
