what Pet Parents are Saying
Posted on Joanne ChestertonTrustindex verifies that the original source of the review is Google. On Dec 21st we had to say goodbye to our sweet Drake. It was an unimaginable day, one I had dreaded for many years and never truly believed I would have to face. But when I knew it was time, I reached out to Peaceful Passings. From the very first contact, they responded quickly and with such kindness, despite my wavering indecision and being an emotional wreck. Dr. Graham was wonderfully compassionate, and soft-spoken. I couldn’t have asked for a more perfect person to be by our side or to help our Drake take his final step in passing. I was able to hold Drake to my chest as we both laid together through the entire process, which gave us both comfort until the very end. I never wanted to see my boy go but this was the very best outcome of what I hadn't anticipated would come to be. Dr. Graham and the team at Peaceful Passings helped us move through the worst day of our lives with calm, dignity, and grace, and for that, I am extremely grateful.Posted on Nicole RaftisTrustindex verifies that the original source of the review is Google. Our dog hated going to the vet clinic and with mobility issues it would have been physically painful to load him into the car. Being comfortable and calm in his own space was so much better and at a comparable price.Posted on Soul SeekerTrustindex verifies that the original source of the review is Google. Top level service. Private Cremation: Your pet is cremated individually, and their ashes are returned to you in a memorial urn as a lasting tribute.
We will manage the transportation of your pet with care, allowing you to focus on honouring the life you shared. For families searching for pet euthanasia near me in Waterloo, our compassionate team is here to provide support.

What to expect:
Our primary goal is to create a calm and supportive atmosphere. When our veterinarian arrives at your Waterloo home, she will take the time to explain each step and answer any questions you may have. We proceed at a pace that is comfortable for you, allowing your family plenty of time to say your goodbyes.
The process involves two gentle injections. The first is a sedative that helps your pet drift into a deep and peaceful sleep, ensuring they feel no pain or anxiety. Once your pet is fully relaxed and you are ready, the final medication is administered, allowing them to pass away quickly and gracefully. It is a humane process designed to feel like a quiet and gentle transition.

frequently asked questions
What is included in the cost?
The cost for the visit will vary depending on the size of your pet, the distance driven, and other factors such as the need for additional time or medications. The in-home euthanasia service includes the veterinary visit to your home, a brief assessment, and the sedation & euthanasia procedure. Additionally, based on your aftercare selection, the cost may include, cremation or aquamation, transportation, and keepsakes.
Will you assess my pet upon arrival?
It’s completely natural to question if the time is right. If you need additional clarity, you may find our Quality-of-Life Tool helpful, or you may wish to pursue a Quality-of-life assessment with one of our trusted veterinarians for further guidance.
Should you schedule a euthanasia with us, our veterinarian will compassionately assess your companion upon arrival. If they feel euthanasia is not the most appropriate path at this time, they will discuss this openly and honestly with you.
How long does the appointment take?
We understand this is a tender time. Your veterinarian will be present in your home for 20-60 minutes, allowing ample space and time for you to say goodbye and be with your companion in a way that feels most comfortable and peaceful.
Will the vet take my pet with them after the appointment?
During your appointment, the vet will confirm your aftercare selection. If you opt for cremation or aquamation services, the vet will handle your pet’s transportation from your home and will care for your pet’s body until they are respectfully transferred to the appointed aftercare provider.
Are you available for emergencies?
Peaceful Passing’s priority is to accommodate our patients and we can usually have a veterinarian available for same day emergency visits. However, Peaceful Passing is not a 24 hour emergency service. If this is a serious emergency, we recommend contacting your regular veterinary clinic or the nearest veterinary emergency facility.
