Our Story

All Pets Deserve a Peaceful Passing.

A Vision Realized

In 2015 Peaceful Passing (previously Dailley Mobile Veterinary Services) was born from inspiration, passion, and a higher calling.

A Passion for End-of-Life Care

Since graduating from OVC in 2008, our founder, Dr. Susan Dailley came to recognize the end-of-life visit as one of the most significant events in the lives of pet-owners. Experiencing these sacred moments alongside her patients and clients in a clinic setting inspired her to create a mobile service focusing on companion animal end-of-life care at home in a way that honours pets and their families.

A Rewarding Mission

Placing all of her focus as a veterinarian on this one intention allowed her to create an experience for pet-owners and their pets that is really special.

In return, Dr. Dailley felt incredibly rewarded with unanticipated kindness and appreciation and truly believes “there has been no experience in veterinary practice more rewarding, satisfying, and inspiring than the gratitude of pet-owners whose beloved pet was able to pass away peacefully and comfortably in their arms. How better to measure your own success than in the knowledge that you have truly helped another during a trying time”.

A Gift of Compassion

Although euthanasia is a difficult and emotional time for many people, it can also be considered an act of love and respect when a pet’s quality-of-life can no longer be sustained. Offering supportive, compassionate, and empathetic care for pets and their families is a beautiful gift that Peaceful Passing is honored to provide.
